Our studio program is designed as a recreational program for any student ages 3 to adult. Admission to this program requires no evaluation for placement. Students are placed according to age such as 3-5 year olds, 5-6 year olds, 7-8 year olds, 9-11 year olds, 12 and over, etc. Classes are also grouped by levels such as beginner, advanced beginner, intermediate, etc. depending on the student’s previous training.
Classes in our studio program cover instruction on proper warm-ups, dance technique, progressions, dance syllabus and terminology. Each class will learn one or more routines throughout the dance year, one of which one will be performed in our annual spring recital.
Students are required to wear proper dance wear to class. Girls should wear leotards and tights or camisoles and jazz/dance pants. Ballet skirts are optional. Boys should wear sweat/athletic pants and t-shirts. Proper dance shoes are required.
Students 7 and over may elect to take additional technique only classes to enhance their proficiency.
